SELINSGROVE – A longtime holiday tradition at the Snyder County Libraries is making a comeback this year…and you are invited. The 18th annual Tree Fest of Children’s Books at the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library and Selinsgrove is open another week or so.

Pamela Ross, executive director of the Snyder County libraries says there is about a week left of the fun, interactive festival. She says the unique decorated trees and stories create an enchanting holiday activity, “It’s an absolute wonderful event. It’s sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the library.”

“We’ve got volunteer decorators who’ve decorated 16 trees and three wreaths that are actually gonna be up until January 4. We want to make sure people have plenty of time to see them.”

Ross highlights a new feature to their event this year, “The people who decorated have recorded their books.  New this year…there’s a QR code on a sheet of paper and if you use your cell phone to open up that QR code you’ll see someone reading the book associated with the tree.”
