SAM RAYBURN — Water level is 3.48 feet low and clear. Water temp in the low 60s. Fishing guide Brian Branum says bass fishing has been excellent with good numbers and a few up to 6.5 pounds reported. Fishing is changing daily. Best action has been around shallow cover and channels near shallow cover using ‘Traps, shallow cranks and Texas rigs. Deep structure still producing some nice fish on cranks and tail spinners.

Crappie fishermen reporting a few limits off brush piles and at the Highway 147 crossing, mainly on shiners.

NACOGDOCHES — Water level is 2.33 feet low and clear. Water temp in the low 60s.

Bass anglers reporting some solid fish on Texas rigs, shallow cranks, jigs and A-rigs along creek channels and over grass flats. Main lake points with isolated stumps/brush, channel ledges and other main lake structure in 14-25 feet holding some groups of fish with an occasional big one in the mix. No report on crappie.

NACONICHE — Water level is at full pool and clear. Surface temp in the mid-60s.

Local angler David Russell says bass fishing has been hit or miss. Best action coming around channel edges and road bed ditches in 18-20 feet using plastics. Crappie anglers reporting some decent numbers at times.

TOLEDO BEND — Water level is 4.15 feet low and clear. Water temp in the low 60s.

Ben Matsubu at Keith’s Tackle says crappie fishing has been good along the river up north and at mid-lake in 15-25 feet of water. Natural lay downs also holding lots of fish. LiveScope is a big plus. Bass fishing has been sporadic. Good numbers is coming in 8-12 feet, hitting Carolina rigs, A-rigs and football jigs. Some bigger schools in 25-35 feet down south, but not much size.

Catfish have been fair on stump hooks and trot lines tipped with live and cut bait.

CEDAR CREEK — Water level is 1.63 feet low and clear. Water temp in the low 60s, high 50s.

Fishing guide Jason Barber says blue cats are still good shallow up north using fresh cut bait. Drifting over deep water should improve as water temps cool. Deadsticking with shad soft plastics has been fair over deep water, mainly white bass. Black bass are best on rocks and docks using cranks, spinnerbaits and Chatterbaits. Crappie fishing is fair with a few limits coming on brush piles and bridges in 16-24 feet.

FORK — Water level is 3.82 feet low and fairly clear. Water temp in the low 60s.
